Our Garden Design Process

A good, well thought out design is the hallmark of the most successful gardens. No one would consider building a house without detailed drawings and specifications, but commonly gardens are given little or no thought at all.

1. Initial Consultation:

At an initial site visit we will set out the brief for the garden, establish a budget and discuss timing and any planning constraints. This is our opportunity to learn as much as possible about your tastes, requirements and hopes for the project. After this free consultation if you wish to proceed a quote will be provided for the plans.

2. Site Survey:

The garden is carefully measured and assessed in order to produce accurate scale plans.

3. Concept Plan:

This is where Monkey Puzzle Landscapes differs from most garden designers. We pride ourselves on our ability to cater our designs to each individual customer. We believe that just one draft of the concept plan is rarely enough to fully realise the customer's hopes and dreams. We are committed to develop the design until the full potential of the garden is achieved.

4. Master Plan:

Only when the site survey and concept plans are accomplished will the master plan be drawn up. This will include a planting plan and details of construction, lighting and any other specific technical features of the project.
